Supply issues again

Im pretty sure this has been asked a million times but I shall ask again

Playing Germany everything going to plan late 41. the med is closed off. allied with Italy spain, thing is the divisions in malta the islands by greece are dying on there arse for want of supply, im building convoys ect but it seem odd as its a safe place , does anybody have advice on the amount of convoys one needs to build?

Med. is closed off as in the Brits control Suez and Gibralter? Then there is no way for the convoys that you're building the get to Malta.

Try A) Taking Spain and Gibralter B) Taking Istanbul (You have a port of the Black Sea right?) C) Taking Suez.

I agree with you there, taking Istanbul is an option (the other options also). But what I like to do is to annex Yugoslavia, thereby having acess to the Med. Your Convoys will auto supply your troops.

Spain has gibraltar I control Suez, so not sure why, ive tried putting a destroyer in each port if that helps with supplies?

edit I have a port in Athens, and ive got plenty of supplies

Just asking: Are you building Convoy transports or Transport ships?

How many Convoy Transports do you have at the moment? If you have enough, there should not be a problem.
Also, did you put your convoys on auto manage, or do manage it yourself?

OK, so you and your allies have possesion of Gibraltar and you got Athens.
You should be able to supply your troops the long way round Europe.

One other thing, do you have terratory from Germany to Athens (i.a.w. is there unbroken connection over land)? If not, you will have to supply round Europe, through Gibraltar Straight to the Islands.
If you have direct connection over land, you will be able to supply from
Athens. Remember to have enough Convoy Escorts.

To place Cruisers in ports will not ensure safe delivery of supplies, it is a waste of good naval power. Only Transport Convoys and Convoy Escords will do the job.

If you still have trouble, post again, maybe some wise guy will answer.

Yeah I control the balkans all the way down to athens, On the convoy escort thing, now it says i have zero?, Ive looked at the convoy list, It says eg. I need 32 transports to supply Barcelona, even though I gave Barcelona to Nat Spain months ago. To be honest I never go there as I always let the Auto Convoy do its own thing, and Im not losing convoys as I have it on pause if it happens

Then cancel that route.

It might be that it's from Barcelona to Germany, but if it's that vital the game should just make it again.
