But ffs come on, are you serious with your "I wanna supply a whole Eastern Front army group with a squadron of Ju-52s". Outta here with that shit man smh

Putting words in my mouth? Not surprised. I gave the example of how it saved the airborne troops. I then stated how Germany did it. i never ONCE said it should be able to keep a line fed.

You could have found it by yourself using the search function at the top right of the page. I already reposted the same info a few time.

Googled it, didn't find it. Hate searching threw forums and with the info given from the video, I figured they already decided not to add it in.

I don't think anyone really wants less features in the game, that is clearly a hyperbole for dramatic effect. My question to you is would you rather have air supply so you can properly lose the battle of Stalingrad(or win the battle of Bastogne), or would you rather have a more capable AI or a better main supply system. Paradox doesn't have infinite time and resources, it seems like that gets overlooked. WWII is one of the largest and most well documented wars, with new and complex technology and strategies that are being represented. There will be sacrifices and in my opinion the cost vs reward of adding this should not make the cut.

Air supply happened in WWII. Paradox can't do everything. When you compare the time to develop this and the impact on the game, I think Paradox made the right choice.

At least you can try to recreate the Demyansk and Kholm pockets with this now when it gets patched in. Those are really what I care about, those small divisional-corps encirclements that really worked (not like the air supply of Stalingrad). Supplying just enough to hold out precariously for relief/break out. Nice to see it won't be forgotten for long!

I totally understand where you're coming from. However. They did it very well in HOI 3. I believe that game's supply balance is just fine. Sooooo, I don't understand why it would be a problem to do it again >.>

I agree 100%. And it was a perfect example. Someone said it is too OP. NOPE. I want historical accuracy, and the ability to replay events in the game like I do in HoI3.

Hmmm, Don't remember ever saying that didn't happen. Odd. I also don't remember saying I wanted to hear more about an event I already know just everything about... You don't need to refresh my mind about it, I study up on WW2 constantly.

You do realise you just sound like a punk kid whining about how every little thing in the game's design isn't to his liking, don't you? There are features I find less than ideal too but hey thats life. Lets let the game be released and see how it is. I don't go around demanding things like a petulant child because my fragile little ego can't handle not having a feature that is non-essential for gameplay purposes on day 1 release.

Eloquently put. This is the dillema for all game developers, especially a smaller studio like Paradox. For what it would add versus the resources it would take to add in and balance, it doesn't warrant inclusion in the base game IMO.

Googled it, didn't find it. Hate searching threw forums and with the info given from the video, I figured they already decided not to add it in.

Just did it in just 5 long seconds with the search function at the top right of the page (not on Google) using air supply+Podcat.

Guess what I found ? A whole thread about it and this post by Podcat (the main dev of HOI4):
https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...hat-no-air-supply-in-hearts-of-iron-4.912155/

Ran out of time to code it. We will likely add it at some point in the future after release.

But if you prefer to whine, that's your right.

You're the one who started crying on the thread. Everyone else here is giving valid points and contributing to the conversation. Complaining because you "For some reason" want the game to have less option. So don't give me that bullshit kiddo. I've been waiting over a year for this game to come out, watched every video about it, and Never once had an issue until I hear a major feature was being skipped. So don't try to spin this on me bud.

Let me guess, the debate isn't going well, so your only option now is to cry racist?

This is not a major feature. I too would have liked to have a limited capacity of air supply for either small pockets of troops or just to keep larger groups head a bit above the water. That may come later, so we will have to wait.

That didn't play a major role in the war as a whole, no country had the air transport capacity to make major supply for long periods of time. Of course there where some operations where it was useful, as some exemples pointed. One of the situations where it may be missing is the supply of Italians in North Africa. Historically they used air supply because their convoys where under constant Allied attack, but they could only provide a limited amount of supplies.

It's a relatively minor thing they left out of the game. Historically, air dropping supplies could never have been a reliable way of transporting large amounts of them. Air supplying cut off divisions for short periods of time out of respect for the lives of your men and the importance of their objective *ahem* *Bastogne* is another story.

The big deal is that IRL it costs TONS of fuel to fly supplies for an entire army. Not in this game though, due to the absence of used fuel, which is why it would be abused. The major reason I see for the devs leaving out the possibility of flying supplies for your entire army is because of the logistics system present in HOI4 in general. I don't see a reason why flying supplies should be completely left out, but it would need to cost a bunch of fuel so as to make it horrifyingly inefficient to try and do on a mass scale. HOI4 does not support unit fuel usage, unfortunately. Hopefully someone will fix this

It boggles my mind that people with your train of thought exist. Liberal maybe? Just can't understand a person wanting less out of a game. Sad.

After all as we all know, if someone disagrees with you, they are a liberal.
Liberal, the creature that understands not all mechanics are equally important, what a horrifying creature indeed.

When I see someone puke out the bullshit that kid did, there are only two explanations.

1. He's mentally retarded.
2. He's a liberal regressive.

Many believe the two are interchangeable.

See that is not a way to counter the argument he has made, that is just an insult.
Insulting people is something i personally don't mind, it can give me a bit of a laugh, but they do not further the argument, only shows a lack of respect.
