Guys, guys my supplies are getting dunked as nationalist china. I've lost 1k supplies over the first month almost, and I'm not even at war. I'm a complete noob, send help. Is this normal? How do I fix it?

Are you strategically re-deploying units? if so that will burn through your supplies in a heartbeat. Remember you have alot of troops, a small economy and are likely trading supplies to buy resources. All of this bodes poorly in stockpiling supplies. If you cant get it together, next game you try, for a whole month build nothing but supplies, this will give you a little leeway.
Aside from the possibility your supply system is merely trying to balance out, which can take a month or two, the only thing I can think of is that there is not enough IC dedicated to supply production. That, plus what Oliver asked
Also never use CGM to re-arrange your units (not saying you used it, im just pointing out) it throws your whole supply network in dissaray for months. Better to delete the troops and remake the same ones then place them on the map, the game can handle that.
The "supply" number at the top of the screen is just how many supplies are at your capital. If you check (province by province... but before the war, that's not TOO many of em), you will probably find that a number of provinces on the route between your capital and wherever your forces are have 500-1000 supplies each on them. As you are not yet at war, this will eventually balance itself out; when those "supply trains" reach their destination, the unnecessary portion will head back to your capital, and then you will find an "unexpected" influx of supplies.
It is most commonly caused by ST-Deploying troops. Doing this right at the start, so that your supplies can get to their "new homes" well before JAP comes knocking, is ideal.
