There appears to be a fault in the Non-Christian carve-up on death of ruler events, they don't seem to fire for sheikdoms/chiefdoms , and hence sheikdoms, which should be ideally one-province local tribal leaders, are allowed to grow to monsterous sizes while the rather modest kingdoms are carved up among many heirs. Any Muslim realm which is over the allowed provinces, should quickly be carved up among the heirs to the ruling monarch, including sheikdoms.

I also think that Muslims should also, through events be able to create higher titles as soon as they occupy the required provinces, so if the a Sheik took the all the base provinces of the Emirate of Granada, than that sheik should automaticly assume that title, becoming that realm. This would allow, upon the death of that emir, the new emir to have his reletives as his vassal sheiks, allowing low-ranking Muslims to fight their way to the top. Even better have the claimable titles change according to era, so the Almohads and Mamalukes for instance have a chance of appearing mid-game.

The Muslim title creation would be handled through an event, set to trigger when the Muslim ruler has the required provinces, which would effectively create a new realm, with the Muslim ruler and his court "transplanted" onto the new one. Same as the knightly orders.

I'm no expert but could this be done?

I don't see why you couldn't add a title to someone if they were Moslem and owned required land. It would be too complicated to make it work like Christian titles do, asking for 2/3 of the territory. But you could make them trigger for 100 percent of the territory fairly easily, it seems like.

That would require at least 100 events with hundreds of conditions per event. Unless Johan can find time to code it then I'd say it's a "will not fix" situation....

...however I will adjust the break-up events to make this happen for a muslim vassal with crap efficiency too so that should help quite a bit.

Well, it might be a lot of events, but I don't think it would be a lot of conditions, at least by the 100% thing. It would be "owns this stuff", "is moslem", and "the title doesn't already exist". So far as I can see, that's all, right?

I admit, though, that there are probably better wastes of time.

Not unless we get a new event command for that.
And right now its not all that clear if we can get that. Its certainly more likely than new religion, but not as likely as more events.

A give title command would definately be a good thing, because it would allow a whole range of interesting event to be scripted, not just the Non-Christian promotion titles. So if a Sheik or Emir manages to conquer Egypt, then he should be able to become king of Fatimids/Abbayubs/Mamelukes according to the historical era. It would allow titles that have been eliminated through Crusading to be restablished if the non-christians retake the land later in the game. It would definately be worth adding.

Definetly. Sadly enoguh this is something that will happen probably in CK2 and not sooner.
