I load up DD, theres noticable mouse lag in the menu, gets worse when choosing a scenario and is unplayable once in game. I Play Vikky, CK, EU2, and Hoi2 and Hoi2 DD up to 1.1 ALL work well on my machine, what happened?

okay it worked fine last i played, now it doesnt i even reinstalled it. still super unplayable lag evebn before the gqme even starts.
Like I got DD, I isntalled the patch (about a month ago) and everyhing worked fine, then now i wanna play in mplayer and its super laggy. first I assumed it was either the 1.2 patch or the Stony road mod, so i reinstalled.
still laggy even in vanilla 1.0
So now im geussing its because I have MacOSFlyAKite installed that duplicates the mac os on a windows pc im uninstalling it but any other suggestions is nice I did a defreag yesterday.
