Super confused on first contract, how to I start traveling?

So I seem to be stuck, must be something I am missing. I went to the starmap and picked the new location. This brought up a contract for me that included travel. I accepted the contract and I see it on the contract screen but I do I actually go there now? When I click on the new location in the starmap it says "travel not possible" at the bottom of the page. What am I supposed to be doing here?

Go to the "Leopard" tab, and hit the play button. If you've already been set in travel mode, the ship will continue its trip.
