Sunset Invasion DLC makes other DLCs not working

As title said, I check all the DLCs, run the game and when I start, what I see? I can't play muslims, I can't hire retinues, I can't use ruler designer, I can't everything excepts playing clean game without all DLCs, when the DLCs checked
I tried to re-install the game and veryfied it, but nothing happens
I use Steam version

Looks like not problem with SI, but with the game, even unchecked SI, still no loading

PC or Mac version please?

First exit Steam and restart it. Then try using the Steam client to Verify Integrity of Game Cache, run that 2 or 3 times. If they don't help, try a full clean reinstall: uninstall the game from Steam and move any valued save games elsewhere. Manually delete ALL the CK2-related files and directories from under the Steam AND MyDocuments folders, now reinstall the game via Steam.

verified Integrity of Game Cache two times, manually deleted (also two times) all the CK2-related files and directories from under the Steam AND MyDocuments folders, and reinstalled the game via Steam (and again two times) but still is the same

I am also experiencing the same exact issues I downloaded the game from gamersgate, I cannot use ruler design or any of the other dlc's. I am running the game on PC I have uninstalled and reinstalled several time but nothing seems to work.

i had this issue

use the launcher and disable the DLC
then run the game,
exit and then reenable the DLC

if your on gamersgate, go into the ingamestore with all the DLC disabled and log in to see if anything needs t be reinstalled

I had the same problem (Gamersgate version as well), but without the SI DLC.

So i tried the following as i believe having read something alike before:

I went into the ingame store. logged in. stayed logged in but went back to the menu, chose single player and tada, the DLCs (in this case Ruler Designer and SwordofIslam) were working.
Went back to the menu and the ingame store, logged out, exit the game to desktop and after starting the launcher again the DLC were activated, also without an internet connection and without logging in the game store again.
IIRC this had happened before as well.

So you have to log in the game store, stay logged in and start a game first, before the DLCs get recognised by the game. Weird. :huh:

then it would seem to be a DRM thing, where DLC file in mtdocuments needs server confirmation it can use the new data

I'm having the same problem. I tried turning off the DLC, launching the game, exiting, and turning it back on again, but no dice.

I just got Sunset Invasion and the 1.08 patch, and now nothing's working. I can't even access the Design A Ruler function.

I'm running this on a 2010 Macbook, and I have all the DLC absent Songs of Albion.

I have the game via Steam, and I can't access the Ingame Store. It's always greyed out.

The InGame store is only for GamersGate users. For Steam you buy the DLC through their client store.

seatbelt and me still have the issue. Didn't have the issue yesterday and played sunset with all DLC active. Since we're both on steam, we cant click the ingame store button, and therefore cannot revalidate our DLC. Tried reinstalling, no die.

I tend to think it's a problem with the dlc_signature file on Steam, but even if I delete it and relaunch the game, my DLC still isn't showing up. This is a CRITICAL issue for me, as I've bought every single piece of DLC released for this game and I'd like to enjoy it.

I encountered this annoying problem too on Steam after purchasing older DLCs after getting Sunset Invasion.

For those on steam, go to your local CKII folder and delete the dlc_signature file, i.e. C:\Users\USER\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\

After that, start up steam, verify integrity of cache and restart CKII. The DLCs should be recognized properly.

None of this all worked for me, very annoying..

I'm a mac user and have the game on steam. The SoI, LoR and SI seem to work but all the other DLC's aren't. Even the aztecs don't look like aztec but like persians or something en after clean install. There's something really messed up.

Edit: I fixed it, I had to manually unzip all the DLC files and put them in the right folders to make them work. Not the quickest way but if it works it works

thats what i want to know, whats the cause, so we can do a proper bug report
