Playing as the Saffarids(Baluchistan) in 867, i noticed the religion view may be bugged. It shows the caliph portrait fine but the holy sites have all the portraits with a black square and the title icon looks like the one from the swedish king title. I think it also shows all holy sites with a green flag and a star(fully under control of the sunni religion with a sunni holder of the temple and a sunni liege). But checking the religion authority it shows one of them is not fully held(either non-sunni holder or non-sunni lege of holder).
