Sunday game, anyone?

Ok.

I admit it. I've been salivating about this one for some time now.

A bunch of assholes (read: friendlier people than I) from the EU2 MP community have already had the privelige for months to play this precious, but now it's time to let the rest of us in.

So, I propose a game started ASAP.

The 23rd is a tuesday so there will be plenty of time to test the game until the 28th when the game will start.

We'll need a good host but I am sure one will surface.

I would be very happy to see some old faces again, but as long as you're willing to set aside 4 hours of your sunday to some hardcore EU3 gaming you're welcome to join.

I think we'll do a relaxed 17-21 CET game without much in the way of rules and start finding out what kind of GMing will be necessary in this new installment of the community.

Problem is, although I'm a veteran of HOI and vicky, I've got no clue when it comes to EU, so three days is probably not enough to really make me a good player, especially in mp where the challenge is that much steeper. Why not start the game a little later in the week, or maybe the week after altogether?

I'm a new mp-player so I would prefer Portugal in order to stay out of the big european wars.

I would like to play! Any nation is fine, but a Naval power would be perfect. Portugal!

A fair point. I haven't seen a Crete proposed yet, but it'd be nice to get the major players covered.

The ones that come to mind for me as being fairly crucial for balance are

France
Russia
Austria
Spain
England

With some others being fairly helpful for balancing being
OE
Brandenburg
Sweden
Poland

It'd be nice if at least the first tier was in play, as there's some fair-sized gaps there. Without a Spain, England, or Brandenburg around, I could see France pushing Bohemia and Austria around alot, even in the first session.

Having said all that, I'd like to take a shot at OE. Failing that, France, Brandenburg, or Spain.

As a tentative list, here's how those top nine are filling out atm:

I'd guess we could get away without a couple of them (eg Poland or Brandenburg), but it'd be nice if one of the Portugal players could take England or Spain as their second choice.
