Given how early in history we are speaking, it is certainly conceivable that unrelated languages existed in proximity.

Thanks for the info. Especially interesting was that cuneiform survived to beginning of common era. I did not know it became a phonetic representation as well. Sargon is the first megalomanic recorded in world history. Mankind would have been better w/o any of them.
