There is a situation, that if there is a guardian or Marauder empire fleets will jump to them dieing horribly.
This is true when generating patrol routes (trade), pathfinding for science ships or constructors, and reinforcement for fleets in combat.
The last one is really hard to play with. Since otherwise managing fleets reinforcement is hard to micro. Auto refill button is great help. But if fleets gonna suicide on the way to front that undermines the whole idea.

A lot of problems could somehow be manage or get used to, or just accept that AI is suffering the same. But this is something nothing could be done, and spoils the fun more.

You do know you can forbid system access ? The button for it is on the left side of a sector name bar (to the right of the empire symbol if a sector owned by an other empire), when zoomed in on a sector. You can use it on any system you have at least low intel on and that aren't owned by you (not sure about ally system)

I do not.
Will try that.
