I have always felt that the usa could use a bit more flavor...
And since it was recently the 4rth of july I thought now would be the best time to post something about it

Before we move onto the suggestion, I may be asking for too much, So at least take a few of these into consideration?

First, I want to suggest that they get their own government type with an event accompanying it to fire soon after independence giving them this government type. Government right here:
American Republic(name up to further suggestion)
Effects:
Stability cost -10
Yearly prestige +1.5
Minimum autonomy of all provinces 10-20%?
Elections every 4 years
No republican tradition lost for re-electing twice UNLESS citizens vote against the re-election in whichcase You lose republican tradition, If re-elected more than twice you shall lose much more republican tradition and 1 stability
If citizens vote for your re-election a third time you do not lose 1 stability for re-electing, but the penalties on republican tradition still drop
Stats for presidents should be random just like monastic orders and also show up like this: ?/?/?

Along with a few events to come with this government type? (Might be a silly idea with no major game changing elements so im not a huge fan on it although it could help spice up the government)
Election events!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Upcoming election
Firing conditions:
Must have American Republic
Must be 3 years since last election
Upcoming election did not fire since last election
Ruler must have not been elected twice

Effects:
Option 1. Promise Nothing

Option 2. Promise lower taxes: Tax efficiency -5% for 8 years +10% chance to win the election

Option 3. Promise really low taxes: Tax Efficiency -15% for 8 years +20% chance to win the next election

Option 4. Promise more FREEDOM(sorry) +10 autonomy in all provinces and +20% chance to win the next election

Option 5. Promise Peace (Cannot declare war against any nation without suffering +6 unrest for 6 years +20% chance to win the next election

I might have made this one real messy so if you don't like the events move on ;P

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Strong opposition to "Ruler name"
Firing conditions:
Must have American Republic
Must be at least 5 months since last election
Citizens love "Ruler name" did not fire since last election
Strong opposition to "Ruler name" did not fire since last election
Chance to fire should be some rare number, So it shouldn't happen for every president or very commonly

Effects:
Option 1. -20% chance to win the next election

Option 2. Knock out all opposition Lose an ammount of income and -5% chance to win the next election

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Citizens love "Ruler name"
Firing conditions:
Must have American Republic
Must be at least 5 months since last election

Strong opposition to "Ruler name" did not fire since last election
Citizens love "Ruler name" did not fire since last election
Chance to fire should be some rare number, So it shouldn't happen for every president or very commonly

Effects:
Option 1. +20% chance to win the next election , -2 unrest in capital province

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Successful Speech
Firing conditions:
Must have American Republic
Must be 3 years since last election
Sucessful Speech did not fire since last election
Chance to fire should be some rare number, So it shouldn't happen for every president or very commonly

Effects:
Option 1. +10% chance to win election
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you are thinking about adding the political parties then I would suggest they work simular to the dutch republic with each party giving unique benefits, Just know that there is more than 2 political parties in the usa
Although I personally would rather not have this mechanism

Second, I felt the ideas were kind of weak aside from the goods produced 15% with 2 ideas dedicated to religious tolerance and 1 to a casus belli that you can easily get by taking exploration ideas which you most likely will be taking as the USA
Here is my suggestion for the new ideas:

Traditions: 1 Merchant | -10 Development cost
Idea1: Negative religious tolerance no longer gives any penalties. | Religious unity +20%
Idea2: Unrest -2
Idea3: Colonist 1
Idea4: Morale of armies +10
Idea5: 15% Goods produced
Idea6: Permenant casus belli on natives | Yearly Nationalism -5 years
Idea7: Military Technology Cost -8%
Ambition: 0.5 republican tradition

Development cost could use a re-shuffle, Although I have not so much of an idea as to where to put it and what to replace it with.

Third, A few events
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Whenever the usa becomes independent more than 99% of the time their culture is english(if formed by britain), I say there should be some kind of event which changes the culture to american that fires if these conditions are met:

Country is: USA
"This event" did not fire
Culture is in the "British" group (so, Even if the culture was american before this event they still get the -25% culture conversion cost for 10 years)
Is an independent country

Effects:
Option 1: Primary Culture changes to American
Culture conversion cost -25% for 10 years

Option 2: Prestige -10

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
American manpower

Event firing conditions:
Country is: USA
Owned provinces: 320
Year is at least: 1700

Effects:
Maximum Manpower: +20% Until the end of the game

This one could be historically inaccurate since america wasn't really very popular for its manpower until they reached the pacific coast...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Final, a few missions:

1.Conquer the north-west
effects: add claims on the north-west
completion: owns all provinces in the north-west
reward: 10 prestige

2.I'd say florida but you already have this one

3.Control louisiana trade
completion: has more than 50 trade power in louisiana
rewards: (idk)

4.Control Carribean trade
completion: has more than 50 trade power in the carribean node
rewards: (idk)

Excuse all my editing, Making sure this is more readable

As for other members... comment if you see anything wrong with my suggestion and want it changed otherwise wish to suggest additional things

The USA lost 1812... Badly... Even with Napoleon sapping resources with his european wars.
We fought them to a white peace and then sunk their fleet. Also, we got the best song ever...

Washington was burned to the ground, USA failed to annex any of canada, there were some minor successes for the US Navy attacking small merchant ships until the US Navy was captured or sunk. leading to a total blockade of US trade, if it wasnt for the turmoil on mainland europe and the need for the duke of wellington to deal with that pesky corsican the US would have been totally annihilated, the white peace was a pity peace nothing more.

They certainly never moved north west for strategic reasons? Basically what you are saying is the magnificent USA couldnt quite match an incredibly over extended Britain, you know a small island almost 5000 miles away? :p
We beat them with colonial troops(and small french aid) not much earlier. Also who built the nuke?

In the war of Independance? I never understand why people are so proud of that, huge amounts of Americans died, far more than British. The french aid was substantial, especially for a time of severe food shortage throughout the world, there was also huge amount of support coming from other European nations in either a positive of passive fasion. The American army was still masively undersupplied and starving most of the time, the whole affair was disgustingly brutal which bankrupted both sides and set back American development by about 50 years. It was desperate bloody and the opposite of glorious.

Also the manhatten project was a combined project of scientists from half the world, mostly American, French, German and British though. You cannot claim that the USA built the nuke, each individual scientist was immensely valuable in the project which itself was incredibly lucky to not be beaten by the Nazi equivilent, they were tied for most of the time, it was only near the end the combined efforts gained a small lead.

I don't care about USA, so expanding it is fine to me, but after a lot of more relevant stuff that needs to be fixed, like Spain colonizing Africa, European countries reaching India 100 years too late whereas Europe main focus was first India and not the New World and more in eastern Ancient World and Africa.

And the "small" support from France was decisive actually. The only reason why USA succeeded is that the French didn't like the British.

Why are we so proud of it? because it was the birth of our nation. It was when we proved that we were our own culture and we had our own ideas. Even though most people were of english or scots-irish descent we were not englishmen. As far as it being disgustingly brutal that is war. war is not pretty, you either fully commit or you do not go to war. if something isn't worth fighting for it isn't that important. Also, the amrican revolution proved that the british occupying the cities was not enough. Heck, they controlled most of the major american cities for the whole war. So, burning whashington wasn't the end of the world.

Wow Europeans are so salty that their history was dominated by Kings. Most of the population was peasants and irrelevant, and Europe was only dominant for a few hundred years, if that, and that was only Western Europe.

China was the strongest nation until at least the 1600s, and by the early 1900s Europe was falling behind the US.

I say my suggestion should be implemented into that DLC!

Also it's so historical, we have so many events for european nations that fire years before they historically did, Why cant the usa exist in 1550?.

We also have the whole Sunset invasion thing going on which is really a-historical
USA existing as a republican nation in 1550 is simply to put, insanely unrealistic. The American consept of elections and such was a revolutionary one even in the latter half of 1700s. Besides, colonies didn't really declare indepence before that same time.

Sunser Invasion in just an achievement, which is really hard to get just because the concept is so ahistorical. Nothing in the game supports the player in going and conquering Europe as Aztecs.

Then the firing event that changes its government shall fire at least 100 years since the usas independence UNLESS the year is at least 1700 then it shall happen instantly <:

It depends what you mean by "strong" and China is hardly comparable with european powers, because it's bigger and more populated than the whole Western Europe. About the first lines, it's the same everywhere and more in China than everywhere else.

I suggest to stop arging about dick sizes here.
