What I want to suggest to include in the future DLC and free updates for Cities:Skylines in future after Sunset Harbor. I hope the suggestions below will be taken into consideration before adding it to the game.
Categories
Simulation
- Increase population limit to at least 2 million might be a good idea as I seen a lot of requests for it.
- Increase game limits as I have hit the limits that are meant for 9 tiles, not 25 or 81 tiles.
- Regions to have like maybe 10 million people staying in one city.
- Implement 81 tiles in the base game, as there are many requests.
- Government buildings (bureau, city hall, federal government offices)
- Religious buildings (house of worship, church)
- Research buildings
- Possibly a department of motor vehicles
- Media buildings (television studio which spawns news vans and a news helicopter depot, similar to Simcity 4), (radio station and movie studio).
- Military buildings.
-Religious buildings.
Gameplay
- Infoviews for air pollution and radiation.
Utilities
- Utilities for cell phone, telephone, radio, internet, television.
-TV masts can also be useful in disaster detection.
Power
- More types of power plants (Biomass, Natural Gas, Microwave).
- Extracted biomass from forestry specialized industry and forest industry areas can be used as fuel in biomass power plants.
- Coal power plants require extracted coal.
- Natural gas power plants require extracted natural gas.
- Nuclear power plants require extracted uranium.
Water
- Desalination plant to extract saltwater and use water as a resource for some unique factories.
- In land water pumping stations( small and large)
Zoning/Industries/Specialization
- Wealth zones (low to high), higher wealth commercial and higher wealth office have jobs most suitable for highly educated cims.
- Zone able landfill
Residential
Expansion of residential developments:
- Low wealth low density(farm houses, trailer parks, cottages)
- High wealth low density (villas, manors, mansions)
- Low wealth high density (tenements, slums)
- High wealth high density (apartments, condominiums, sky rise apartments)
Commercial
- Medium density residential and commercial as not only because a lot of people requested it, but it can be useful for the medium four lane roads in the base game.
- Have different types of shops (home appliance, home furnishing, fashion)
- New policies for medium density commercial: Medium Business Benefactor that double the sales of medium density commercial buildings.
- Split generic commercial into different types of commercial: small shops, medium size stores, megastores, malls.
Office
- Low,medium and high density offices similar to real life skyscrapers
Industry and Industry Areas
- Low,medium and high density industry
-More natural resources such as coal, natural gas,iron ore, gold ore, uranium ore.
- High tech industrial is definitely a good suggestion but similarly to offices it requires a university.
- More markets similar to Fish Market( Farmer's Market that sells fruits, vegetables and cheese, in the farming industry, operates similar to Fish Market. The Farmer's Market takes in resources from the farming specialized industry and farming industry areas, selling to consumers, giving the area a health boost ).
-Split the generic industrial into 3 types of industrial: dirty, manufacturing and high tech.
- More unique factories( Medicine, Vehicle Productions(Bus, Vans, Lorrys, Trains, Trams, Planes, Metro Trains), Winery, Chocolate, Television, Laptop Computer.
- Worker barracks should house workers, a must fix.
- New policies for industrial: High Tech Industrial
- More specializations for industrial: IT specialization that consumes more electricity, use on the more natural resources
District Styles
- More district styles(Farmhouse district style useful for houses near farming industry area, houses will grow into small buildings and farmhouses regardless of zoning density).
Education
- More education facilities (community colleges, nursery schools, technical schools private schools(elementary and high)). Private schools can raise the land value higher than the education facilities in the base game. Modular elementary and high school buildings. Private schools are useful in areas with high land value.
Healthcare
- More choices such as surgery centre, dentist, doctor's office, mental hospital, vet surgery, vet clinic.
- Have health inspectors to inspect workplaces to follow health rules.
Transportation
- Park and ride facilities ( multi storey carparks and open space carparks) that can be placed near bus stops, tram stops, monorail stations, metro stations( elevated, ground and underground), train stations which can make cims fully make use of it.
- Car ferries( can reduce traffic congestion on bridges)
- Light rail ( a combination of metro and tram).
- Monorail and train depots.
- Make dual highways.
-Waterbuses
- High speed rail.
-Maglev.
-Fire planes
-Fire boats
- Hazmat garages
-Garbage barges
-Police boats.
Police
- Private security guards, sheriffs
- Lifeguards
- Animal rangers
- More prisons (state prison, federal prison, county jail), courthouses.
- Modular police buildings ( police station and police headquarters)
- Coast guard, detectives, foresnics
- A more detailed crime map describing the type of crime committed in which part of the city.
Fire
- Modular fire buildings
Parks and plazas
- Softball parks, baseball parks, football parks.
- Beach area, marina and beach park, to enhance shorelines
- Country clubs and golf courses, not only because of many requests, but I can see it raising the land value higher and providing higher entertainment.
Tourism
- A wider choice of accommodation under tourism and leisure for unique buildings ( budget hotel, motel, hostel, casino hotel). More dining venues similar to the one in modern japan for low to high wealth such as ( low wealth: cheap, medium wealth: family dining, high wealth: fine dining). Better sports venue similar to the stadium in match day, ( an enhanced version of the ice hockey arena, a tennis stadium, a motorsports venue, water sports venues, a horse racing venue.
- Different types of casinos that cater to tourists of different wealth.
-River tours and helicopter tours.
Park Areas
- Water parks, country fair, safari park as park area, water rides to be added to amusement park.
DLC (futuristic) - add arcologies to boost population with the disadvantages of increased traffic strain, increased demand for services, futuristic stuff although I know about quad's workshop items.
