While UI improvements do not impact the balancing of the game, they still have a great impact on how fun the game is gonging to be.

That’s why I wanted to make a list of UI chooses in ck2 that can easy be improved in ck3:

The little plus that shows all descendants of a family member in the dynasty tree should have a different color/look depending on if there are

  • any living descendants of the same dynasty/ house
  • or only living descendants of other dynasties/houses
  • or all descendants are dead.

A show all living family members button would also be appreciated.

There are many different Casus Belli in ck2 and it can be hard to foresee with outcome a war between two parties can have if you are not directly involved in it. (not just for beginners)

If would be nice if the little pop-up you get if you hover over a Characters current war efforts where it says something like “defending in the holy war for Wessex” you could press str or something and it would show all possible war outcomes.

Sometimes wars end because the Casus Belli is no longer valid. If you war to fought hard for just ends without any explanation why that is a dissatisfying experience. Some pup- up like the ones you get when a war proper ends would solve that. As an example, it could say something like “the holy war for xxx ended because king xxx converted to catholic faith.”

Let’s say I want to revoke a specific county. In order to do that I must got to the county look up who holds it, possible look up its liege, choose the revoke vassal option, choose the right vassal out of all his vassals, then got to that vassal, who is now my vassal and pick the revoke title option and finally choose the right county out of a list of all his titles.

If I could just right click the county symbol and pick an “revoke this vassal”- or an “revoke this title”- option and it would take my to the right character and choose the right option, just like it does if I click on an “you can arrest someone” alert, that would save me a lot of clicking arould.

I do realize that some of these suggestions may already be implemented in ck3. But I wanted to post them anyway just for the case that they are not.

I'd like to be notified when I or my nuclear family members in my court inherit claims or become/cease to be the primary heir to a non-elective title. The exception is that I don't need to know when I cease to be the primary heir to titles within my realm that I or one of the previous holders of my primary title granted.

I just hope UI scaling is done a little more intelligently than their past games (often it has horrid overlaps or makes graphic elements look blurry) or we get an option to increase text size independently of UI size, without having to resort to some sort of "Ultimate 1080p/4k resolution UI MOD" or "better font size/colours" mod - as I currently do for Stellaris & ck2.

On my native resolution playing a game like this for long periods of time will end up giving me more eye-strain than excel (which actually has a larger average fontsize than CK3, judging by the screenshots, as pretty as the UI is).
