As is known and has been discussed so many times, charter company mechanic needs a rework. Papal States or Gelre having chunks of territories in Indochina is funny at best. Just because of the fact that how much it ruins the game, I play with Dharma DLC disactivated.

When we look at the historical context , the countries which bought or leased land or got concessions in a foreign land were either colonial powers (i.e. the UK, Portugal etc.) or those who were no big colonizers but later on became industrial powers (i.e. Germany, Austria etc.) and had an interest in global trade.

Therefore, I suggest that the option to purchase a province in a Trade Company region from another nation should be restricted to those countries that fully unlocked exploration ideas or the countries that fully unlocked trade ideas.

I also further suggest that the provinces available for buying should only be those that are Centers of Trade, to reflect how geographically small the foreign concessions were in reality.

IMHO, these would help prevent South East China and Indochina become a horrible mess almost every game with Dharma DLC activated. For those who would like to point out the alt history aspect of the game, well, I see Ottomans and Mamelukes going colonial almost every game, so don't worry, you would still have a Turkish Canton.
