First, I was critical of the features list, they sounded awfully boring and unambitious to me (loved common sense btw) and people said "o wait till the patch notes before you complain". I read the full patch notes and was similarly unimpressed but said nothing. Now the game is released with 41 negative reviews and 51 positive reviews on Steam.
And I have to ask, who even wanted a hordes focused dlc with a shallow estates model tacked on? I saw posts for south east Asia dlc, I saw posts for African dlc, did not see a single hordes dlc request...now I am getting a download a day for all the bugs that came from these changes for Europa 4.
Massive bugs indicate rushed release, few interesting features (we knew they would barely work at release), bad reviews, so who is in charge of the design decisions over there? feels like a totally different leader/director than who created Common Sense.
Imo, all you had to do (or could still do) was add a single new building, a single new idea, a new statistic, something everyone would like to see. And yes, we all wanted something fun to do during peacetime, and what we got was uninspired busy work.
