Hello,

Rare poster but I have to say the current Trade Company Meta doesn't make sense. They do not reflect the historical power nor use. While they were OP before and needed a balance I think it went to far in the other direction. Either they need to have the Governing Capacity lowered to reflect their now almost useless status. For example, I'm paying 50% capacity for a province with no manpower, sailors, tax, production income or land force capacity. This would be fine and worth it IF the governing cost wast like 5% or 10% on the flip side id be happy paying the 50% IF I zero autonomy but no manpower/sailors/tax like before. Otherwise why should I bother? I would just state them and take the full bonus and spend all the ducats on courthouses vs TC upgrades.

They broke a fun setup Thoughts?

Take a single province from each trade node that gives you trade power, and make it a TC. Then, get a Vassal to eat up everything else. Keep that vassal poor by taking its tax money and trade income, then build Temples and manufactories. EZ win.
