I love micro managing in this game, but when your army size starts to reach the 50k - 100k it can get really obnoxious to select a individual army to target one holding/city/church at a time and once they are done they just stand there until you give them new directions. What I would like to change is to set a trajectory path for the army to follow but they will only move further until they have completed raid or siege of the holding they come across. To make use of this trajectory path you have select one or multiple places of interest and this will draw a path for the army to follow and once they reach the destination they will stand still awaiting further orders. This allows you to focus on other things happening on the map that might require more attention.

In Imperator you could set your armies to automatically do certain objectives.

It was perfect for stacks in uncontested fronts and sieging behind your true stack. You couldn't rely on it to win the war on its own or pick the best battles but you could rely on it giving your spare and lesser important units moving and working and helping.

One of the best additions to any paradox titles and it never passed forward into any other games now it's completely forgotten because Imperator is shelved and nobody played since it was turned into Vicky: Imperator.

Imagine being able to delegate your army to one of your commanders and give him a general focus (search and destroy, siege, defend, patrol, kill rebels) and having the general's traits dictate some of their moves (brave takes on challenging battles, craven only takes absolute wins).
