I'd like to highlight, that I am an avid tall playa.
For me, the main grief is that Ascension is bonded to designation, which seems totally flawed, because when you are "tall", planetary specialization works in a different way and you do not make mono-planets. Surprisingly, this feature is more convenient for "wide" style.
So I suggest that Ascension should provide designation-neutral bonuses and can be based on ethics or be universal (like 5% planetary output bonus)
Ethic based Ascension example:
Materialist:
+5% to Scientist output (10% if fanatic).
+2.5% to Artisan, Technician, Metallurgist output (5% if fanatic).
Spiritualist:
+5% to Priest output (10% if fanatic).
+2.5% to Artisan, Technician, Metallurgist output (5% if fanatic).
This is more flexible, intuitive and tall-friendly approach. Thanks for your time
Pls don't put it in "suggestions", because nobody reads them ^^
