After you get sufficiently good at the game, It tends to be quite easy to go through the game, without much difficulty at all, which means little replay value. An idea to increase that is the option to *confuse* yourself.
There is an magick in the wiki called confused, used by Fafnir I believe, which swaps the two rows of elements, and their hotkeys, which although I never had that happen, I can imagine how quickly that could cause a disaster (especially if you were not expecting it)
My suggestion is to allow you to rearrange the displays of the elements into any order you want. (Possibly have a button to randomize the arrangement as well) (Possibly automatically rearrange the hotkeys the same way) This would make the Learned spell orders, such as the blizzard-ball, or steam arcane lightning incorrect, and require you to learn the new set of combinations.
In addition, adding the ability to hide the elements via an option would also increase the difficulty somewhat, especially if you changed the hotkeys for the elements.
Basically, I would like the ability to change the learning curve, so as to allow me to play through the campaign and similar with an effectively lower skill level (until I become proficient with the new set)
I have tried simply swapping the rows of hotkeys, but that requires either the display to be hidden or swapped in the same way for me to effectively relearn the new set, because I initially refered to the positions of the elements on the screen until I got better at the combinations.
