So yeh, im on start-topic-roll.
Got me thinkin, would it be possible, game and balance wise, to have divisions made up nearly solely out of brigades? Example:
Mountain division - base manpower 5.0
possible attachments liek:
- artillery battalion, 2MP
- additional infantry battalion - 3 MP
- anti-air detachment - 1MP
with limit brigade like 5 - Mountain division with 3 additional infantry brigades, one arty and one AA, for grand total of 17 manpower and combined IC building. Just an example. Though I read that brigads dont take damage and base manpower 5 for the division makes bit exploit on the replacement part, thought if its possible to have brigades lose strength, or adjust IC needed for replacements considerably to reflect repairs on all the stuff there.
The losses might still be accurate, given the fact that entire division wont be battling at the same time, by the time you retreat, lot of wounded could be shipped away and several battalions could withdraw. Im not saying its perfect, just that having ability to compose army entirely can be interesting.
