Hi,
many people are having issues with performance after 1.7 and, in special, after 1.8. At the same time, they seen to play mostly at speed 5 (which only makes the situation worse).
So how about this:
* New speed/feature: jump to date
* Special: it does not updates the UI (moving armies, ships, borders, etc). It focus on the game calculations on backend only.
* You can choose to jump 6 months, 1 year, etc.
That should allow people to skip periods of time like waiting on truce, building, etc on a very shorter time. Less real life waiting.
Remember its a new feature, it would not replace current ones. So it would be optional.
Easy to use on SP. For MP, it should be a mutual decision between players.
Thoughts?
