Italy, the Obotrites and Khazaria need some improvements...
As I pointed out before, there are some database issues/glitches with those factions:
Italy
Khazaria
The Obotrites:
Finally, I too will keep this list updated in case I see something else worth reporting... suggestions are welcome!
As I pointed out before, there are some database issues/glitches with those factions:
Italy
The name of house "Aleramicci" is spelt incorrectly - it should read either Aleramici (with just one C) or Aleramidi.
The correct spelling of Euphemio, Judge of Arborea, would be Eufemio (spelt with with an F).
The correct version of the name Marianus, that of another Judge, would be Mariano.
I'd also suggest to replace all the variants of the name Torcotore/Torchitorio/Dorgodore with Torchitorio, so that there aren't problems with regnal numbers.
The proper spelling of Duke Alberto-Azzo II's name should be Alberto Azzo or just Albertazzo, without the hyphen.
The name of the Prince-Bishop of Ravenna (1066 start) is simply Enrico, not Giovanni-Enrico.
The title city of Jesolo did not exist during the game's timeframe; back then, the town would have been known as Equilio.
The title bishopric of Rialto should be replaced by that of Rivoalto.
The title city of Lido should be, more correctly, that of city of Lido Bovense.
The name of the barony of Pallestrina should be spelt as Pellestrina.
The title barony of Friuli should be replaced with that of barony of Cividale (which was the capital of the Duchy of Friuli).
The title bishopric of Commacchio should be spelt Comacchio (with just one M).
The city of La Spezia should be renamed as Spezia (without "La"); the article was added in 1930.
Reggio nell'Emilia (in-game bishopric) was known as Reggio di Lombardia (or simply Reggio) before 1860.
The capital city of the county of Bologna should be indeed Bologna, and not Bentivoglio.
The correct spelling of the bishopric of Forli should be Forlì (with the grave accent).
The title city of Polesine should be replaced with that of barony (the Polesine are a region).
The rulers of Ancona should belong to the Italian culture group, and not to the Greek one.
I also propose renaming the province of Ancona to "The Marches".
The title barony of Pienza did not exist during the game's timeframe; before 1462, the town was known as Corsignano.
Before 809 A.D., Piombino would have been known as Populonia.
Before the mid-11th century, the in-game bishopric of Prato was known as Borgo al Cornio (the old name would thus be valid for the 769 and 867 start dates).
The city of Pescara was known as Aternum until 1000 AD circa, when the toponym Piscaria would have been adopted.
The barony of Avezzano was first mentioned in 873; it wasn't the capital city of Aprutium, either (see below).
The in-game bishopric of Chieti was known throughout the Middle Ages as Teate and in 1094 it became officially the capital city of Aprutium, even though it served as such before that date.
And because of that, the title of bishopric should be replaced with that of barony.
Also, the city of Sulmona became the capital of Abruzzi from 1222 on.
The barony of Cannae ceased to exist in 1303, when the settlement was abandoned and merged with Barletta, which took its place.
What is the (historically non-existent) barony of Lucano supposed to represent? Kindly replace it with another title...
The correct spelling of the city of Syracusa is... well, Siracusa (spelt with an I).
Cefalu should be more correctly spelt as Cefalù (again, with the grave accent).
The title city of Ogliastra should be replaced by that of barony, seeing that the Ogliastra is indeed a region and not a city.
Khazaria
What's the matter with the High Chiefdoms/Duchies of of Itil and Crimea? No matter how many centuries pass, they still won't become de jure parts of Khazaria.
When playing Khazaria (beginning in 867) I can build church walls/town/etc. Given the fact that the Khazars were Jewish, shouldn't that be fixed by renaming it as temple walls/town/etc. ?
Shouldn't Khazaria be a Khaganate instead of an 'ordinary' Khanate?
The Obotrites:
If the Obotrites are pagan, then how come they're using Christian (or Latin) names?
Finally, I too will keep this list updated in case I see something else worth reporting... suggestions are welcome!
