I've been forever fascinated about how Russia managed to "traverse" the vastness of Siberia / North Asia and reached the Pacific, claiming all that territory as their own, in a relatively short period of time.
And I think this would be a great setting for a Paradox game - whatever the genre. In my Google searches so far I have yet to find a game like this.
I "sort of" played this out in an EU3 game, starting out as Muscovy in 1399 and ending up with what was more-or-less the territory of USSR. I can still recall the feeling I had when my territory first crossed the Urals and beholded the vastness of Siberia before me.
BUT even after that I feel that my thirst for Siberia has not been satisfied
