Just a suggestion to consider for further improvement. In the aftermath of a space battle, I would like to see a limited time, construction ship special project available to the side with the fleet left standing. The idea would be to recover some number of alloys (maybe decreasing over time) and possibly strategic resources from the wreckage. The amount of scrap could be predicated on the number and hull sizes of destroyed ships from all sides. This gives an added incentive not to cut and run and makes it a more interesting decision.

I could potentially see some cool mechanics with regards to battle debris being left in a system. Like adding modifiers to the system similar to galactic terrain modifiers, such as movement penalties or reduced weapon range etc. Basically anything that will at least temporarily affect the effectiveness of void fighting until the debris is "cleaned up".
