When collecting information about a nation from the Ledger, you have to scroll and find that nation again each time you change the Ledger page. I think it would be nice if you could highlight a nation in the Ledger by clicking on it, and when you change pages, it automatically scrolls to the highlighted nation (if the new page has a nation listing). It would be even better if you were able to select filters for which nations to display, like you can in the diplomacy windows - friends, enemies, interesting nations, etc.

What I have always wanted is (for example) to press 'P' and have the ledger jump to the first country that starts with 'P' when I want to see Poland. That is pretty standard list-browsing UI.

Yes, the standard list-browsing functionality would be nice to have. Currently, the normal key bindings are in effect while the ledger is open, but I think there would be no hurt in binding letter keys to the ledger as a type-to-search function. That, together with the allies/enemies/interesting nations filter and, perhaps, the click-to-highlight would be my Ledger wish-list. :)

Edit s/character/letter/
