Sounds like a lot of CPU usage to log all of this, which might be the limiting factor on a 1,000 galaxy map near the end-game.
Otherwise that's a pretty cool idea.
Ck2 has a log of your empire's historyI work in IT at a high technical level and we usually find that logging or auditing can (for most systems) put extra strain on CPU/processing times and extra disk space and ram, even though the data is being processed anyway. For systems that are operating at near capacity this extra performance requirement can tip them over the edge.
It can be done fairly efficiently if it's designed correctly and I have seen it done ok. I have faith that Paradox could do something like this and would encourage it to some extent to help us create stories.
I seem to remember games like Civilisation which have various charts, graphs and logs at the end though, but these were fairly limited in scope.
Ck2 has a log of your empire's history
I disagree, because:I want chronicle which shows nation history and hero biography.
Ck2 has a log of your empire's history
...a chronicle already exists in both CKII and EUIV, and in both cases it is unsalvageably useless.I'd also like a timeline rewind like in EU4.
How romantic.Recommend it be called "Star Date Log"
