I was having a hard time navigating through all of those radial menus to cast a spell on PoE Xbox version.
Divinity Original Sin featured a skill bar, with 5 layers, on the bottom of the screen; so the bar had like 12 or more slots, but you could change it's layer 5 times, so that would multiply the number skills shortcuts by 5. Neverwinter Nights did the same on PC and I adapted it to play with my Xbox controller and it's working pretty well.
You should consider adding this for the next game if you decide to bring it to consoles. Believe me, since this game has a pause function, a bar on the bottom to use our abilities and spells is a pretty good solution. You could even make a way to use the controller too, like: RT+A (first spell on the bar), RT+B (second spell on the slot), and so on.
