Hey all,

So just as a random thought, I wanted to suggest (I'm sure it was done in the past at some point) that it would be really nice to have something like an "Army Manager", which would work on the same principle as the Fleet Manager.

This would mainly be used for assembling large amounts of armies for full scale invasions, when the option of destroying the planet/buildings isn't for you. It would allow us to assemble an army with different types of units and, just like the fleet reinforcing button, we could reinforce an army from all our planets.

Needless to say this would also work very well for the modding community (for example the Zenith mod) as they add several different army unit types, each taking an increasingly longer time to build. Then instead of going around all of our planets and queuing everything, we can just hit a button.

To expand a little bit more on the idea, we could perhaps rename the current function to "Unit Manager" and then add inside the window 2 tabs called "Fleet Manager" and "Army Manager".

Untill there's a rework of the army/combat system there's no real point. You just build the same type of soldier a bunch and then invade there's really no thought needed to be put into armies atm.

True, there isn't as much diversity to an Army as much as there is to a fleet with different versions of the same ship that you can construct. Nevertheless, since this system already exists, I thought it'd be a nice addition, to make everyone's life easier, to let it capture ground units for easier construction as well.

It'd be a useful feature none the less, and will be almost necessary if ground combat ever becomes interesting.
Being able to pick a specific fleet for each army to follow would prevent a good bit of headaches, and a simple "reinforce army" sure beats clicking 15 different planets to queue up 3 armies on each.

While we're at the army/fleet manager, allow me to use shift or ctrl to modify the number of ships/armies added.
Good grief am I tired of clicking 100 times to make a corvette fleet.

Absolutely! This can then also extend into the army manager itself. Sure you might not really need 100 Titans, but if you ever feel like stomping around, why not?
