Suggest for Disaster - Iberian Union

Hi Guys,

I believe Disasters are a great addition for the game.

I would like to suggest a disaster for Portugal, the Iberian Union.

Whenever I play as Portugal I find it easy to be in peace during all game, colonize and be fitly rich, only intervening in Europe if I want

I believe Portugal should have a challenge, namely trying to escape a union with Spain.

I believe there should be a disaster system that after the start of the discoveries, whenever a King dies there is a chance that the Portuguese Nobles rebel and there is a Civil war where Spain supports a Personal Union.

The triggers could be the comparable size of Spain vs Portugal (so that Portugal must keep up with Spain).

What do you think?

i don't see much in this idea tbh - it'd make portugal specifically annoying to play. if you want to isolate yoursel,f do as you please.

i would however be in favor of a general system where small nations with no outside protection could fall prey to their larger neighbours into PU's/vasselage, with minors in the empire being relativly safe form that mechanic.

The player can always choose to not be peaceful, smash Castile and for alternative-history Portuguese Spain instead of Castilian Spain. I'd like a general PU disaster however, that could apply to all countries that could fall under PUs.
