Hello everyone! Ive been playing for a few years, but never as Germany. Ive played a few games now up to about 1940, testing different prewar strategies. In my latest, there seems to be some strange event problems. The austria trigger fired, but I ended up in alliance with Austria, rather than with their territories. This was after i selected "push for anshluss (sp?). Now, its mid to late 1939, and the Czech events have not triggered. I have only one alliance, with Japan, which i am now realizing may be the problem. Is there anything else for the Munich event to fire? Thanks. Oh, and no mods at the moment.

Austria went with the ahistorical choice of an alliance rather than joining you. It's unusual, you just happened to get 'lucky' your first game as Germany. As for the Sudetenland, if requires you not to be at war in order to fire. Since you're in an alliance with Japan, and they have most likely pulled you into their war with China which is still ongoing, I'd say that's the reason it hasn't fired. Do not invite Japan into the Axis until after Sudetenland at the earliest.

Brilliant! Thank you. I'm glad I remembered that I was allied with Japan as I posted this. I usually dont make that alliance till later.
