I'm playing version 1.05 (I'm not sure if it's "c", I tried downloading it then extracting the files but I was not clear if it changed anything, and my screen still reads, 1.05).

I'm playing Germany, it's 1938. I got the Munich event, and I of course demanded the Sudetenland. The Czechs accepted, but then they joined my alliance, and the Sudetenland remained in the Czech's hands! I thought I was supposed to get those four territories? Also, the Czechs moved all their soldiers into Prague, and the Sudetenland is essentially defenseless. I tried demanding it but they did not accede to my demands.

Not sure about the Sutedenland thing, but unless your screen says 1.05c you don't have 1.05c installed.

It is not a bug. It is a theoretical non-historical event. What happened is that the Czech Government is over thrown after the Munich event by a Fascist coup (which almost happened-can't remember the Czech leader who organized it right now). After the coup, Germany allows the new Czech government to keep the Sudetenland in exchange for an alliance (which is a pretty smart move for the Germans-why tick off a potetial ally).

Interesting. But I thought the other option was not to press the demand, in which case, how does one get the Sudetenland? Just by demanding territorty in the normal course of events? I was hoping to follow the historical events. Especially now, as I am at war with Poland, and the Czechs are doing a little too well, taking a couple provinces that I wouldn't mind being in the Reich.

I think the options are: 1) the Czechs cave in to Germany's demands (historical) 2) the Czechs say no way and war is declared (non-historical variant) 3) Facist coup occurs, the Czechs become Germany's ally (non-historical variant). 4) Germany does not press for Sudetenland (your choice)

What I do when the Czechs are my allies is to take control of their military (diplomatic option), then you can control what provinces they get better by launching the attacks. Also, give them lots of tech (it helps if you have a foreign minister that can give technology to like government types for free) they will put it to good use (which would have been historically accurate, the Czechs were highly industrialized). In my game, by 1943 they Czechs have a full panzer korp fighting on the Eastern Front (2 panzer Div, 3 Motorized divisions) ,equipt with the PzKpfw VI (Panther). Plus their airforce is updated to Me 109s. Don't forget to keep them updated on industrial techs.
