Suddenly running sloooow

After updating to the latest beta EU2 has started running slooooowly. At 'extremely fast' the game runs alittle quicker than 'normal'.

My machine is a 900mhz with 600+ ram
My OS is win2k w/ newest service pack

(no I am not running all sorts of background applications)

Copy your saved games elsewhere then uninstall EU2 completely. Defrag your hard disk, then reinstall EU2 plus 1.07 then the beta patch. See how that goes.
