Hello,

I got a strange situation with my primogeniture roman emperor title. My first son was duke of sevilla married to queen of poland (not matrilinearly). He died before me. But instead of being his son, the new first prentender in line was one of my last sons (even if older ones were dukes elsewhere). How could you explain such situation? None of them was a bishop or any thing that usually prevents from pretending to succession. Weird…

Thanks !

It's the 'born in the purple' trait, any son with it will inherit before his older brothers without.

Which sucks if your firstborn is a genius who grows up to be a shining beacon of saintly awesomeness but doesn't get the trait, while his younger bro is a slow hunchback who grows up to be a complete douchebag does.

If you grant your firstborn the Honorary title of Despot, they are considered to be "Born in the Purple."
