Oh cool, a new player! :) Just what we need to kick this game up a gear or three (it's been on life support for months now, due to various issues).

The rules are as follows:

- When your turn comes, you will have 48 hours to confirm that you're playing (post a 'got it!' msg in this thread), and a full week (in total) to finish playing your turn
- Whenever you're done, you will upload the save on Steam or some file upload service (most of us use Tinyupload atm), so that the next player can dl it
- A report of your turn is expected at some point (either when you upload the save or shortly afterwards); it can be brief and to the point or a 'role-playing' bonanza with 90 pictures (guilty as charged! :D)

- As for actual rules when building, in this game technically anything goes, so you could raze the city if you want to, but so far common sense has prevailed (I'm sure our citizens would agree, after relocating countless times out of the way of various haphazard projects... It's all for the greater good, I assure you! :D)
- As for mod use, the rule has been that 'cosmetic' mods (i.e. ones that do not affect the save) may be used at each player's discretion; if you're unsure about a mod's status in this regard, it is best to ask in advance so that your turn will not be wasted (playing with an incompatible mod)

Since you're a new player (if you do indeed decide to participate; it takes some dedication, although not too much), you'll be put at the end of the roster. So it would look like this:

Calad
ItalianGuy
stiiknafuulia
Myquandro
Spockyt
General Gnu

Go ahead and read some of our reports (there's links in the first post), to decide whether you want to take part in the game or not (there's no shame in playing a few turns and then dropping out, either, as long as you inform us of your decision). :)

Edit: the map is 'Heavenly Island v.2' (iirc); however, it is included with the save file, so there's no need to dl it separately. Just dl Spockyt's save (that he just posted), and be greeted by the glorious monstrosity that is Heavenly Falls City! :D

Hey, quick and solid answer. Thanks for that! :)

Sure, I definitely wanna join!

As for Mods: I use tons of them. I guess it would be hard to post them all. Alright, I guess my car and growable building mods can stay, but not use any non-default unique buildings or parks etc. Is that correct?

Edit: Ehr, and I did read most of the Thread. Especially enjoying the Pix and Descriptions. Dunno if I can match up to that...

I'm not sure about growable buildings--won't they show up as 'brown boxes' for the next player if he doesn't also have them downloaded? To be certain I'd wait for @ItalianGuy to confirm their use (he's sort of our 'mod expert').

Hmm, I guess I discounted the fact that putting you at the 'end' of the roster means that your turn will in fact come up right away. o_O However, I'm pretty sure it's ok since Calad (who'd otherwise be next) hasn't been seen here for quit a while. So it's ok for you to play your turn now; however I would maybe list all, or at least all *major* mods you're using, and wait for ItalianGuy to comment on them before you start playing (he's usually pretty quick in his answers, so you shouldn't have to wait for long).

Edit: Welcome aboard and good luck with the city; you will quickly notice that many of the major traffic solutions are sort of ad-hoc, w-i-p affairs. This is because they were built with no coordinated planning whatsoever (and while oblivious to the game's cargo mechanics, to boot!). :) In short, if you like fixing things, you'll never run out of tasks in our city. And may in fact spawn new ones... o_O

Oh I will do this, no doubt about it! :D
I'm quite new to the game and totally stunned about it. Never touched a city builder since...well you propably know when. Little hint: they killed a franchize...

I thought Growables would just be replaced with any other suitable type, but I may be wrong? I might as well just disable all Assets, when it comes to my turn. No Problem there.

Mods I currently use:
- the [ARIS]-Package
- Control Building Level Up
- City Vital Watch
- PopBalanceMod
- Extended Building Information Mod
- SimCity Fudged Population
- All Areas purchasable
- Enable Achievements
- Chirper Position Changer
- Fill the Houses
- District RCI
- Traffic++
- Pedestrians Crossing
- Fine Road Heights
- EuropeanBuildingsUnlocker
- Precision Engineering
- No More Purple
- No Tree Dirt

I don't know what happens with custom growables because I don't use them. If anyone of us used them before me, I had no problems during my turn, so it's ok.

Now let's see your list of mods.
ARIS mods are all right,
Custom building level up no,
City vitals watch yes,
popbalance no,
Extended building info yes,
Simcity fudged population yes,
There is a mod that will replace your all areas purchasable, look for it at the beginning of the thread,
Enable achievements ok,
Chipper position changer ok,
Fill the houses no,
District RCI yes,
Traffic++ no,
Pedestrian crossings no,
Fine road heights yes,
Euro buildings unlocked no,
Precision engeneering and the no-purple and no-dirt mods are ok.

Welcome in this cage of madmen!

EDIT: Is this a lot of mods? I have about 60, and they're ALL mods (no growables, uniques, services, etc, only some vehicles for more variety and realism)

I'm fairly sure that I've used growable buildings in one of my own game and by opening it again on an other PC that didn't had them installed the game replaced them with available building designs (in that case all base game buildings). I'm sure that it would work the same for cars, trains, ships, planes, etc.

So, to put my own stamp onto the game, I decided to start my own hamlet near Mount Myquandro.

Here is the layout:

The Intersection became quite funny, but no problem:

And here is the Pattern:

I will check back here near the end of my turn.

Curious, based on your districts, are you German? (Don't worry, even though I'm British, I don't have any problems with Germans.)

Also, I've realsied... err. I'm not quite sure how to say this, so I'll jsut say it.When I did Motorways (Like the Oilton Bypass).. err... they are going the wrong way from the rest of the city.

After creating the hamlet, i snooped around the city a bit and realised there are lots of corps everywhere not taken care of. So i built a few cemeteries and crematoria. Also I found out the mayor estate was missing one.
I'm a little disapointed with you guys, that's really Becoming a Mayor 101 that you need your personal crematorium nearby - for a reason! So i built one:

Afterwards I decided to take a little pressure off the cargo harbor, by getting it a cargo train connection:

2015-07-31_00006.jpg

And I connected it to the cargo station nearby:

Although I think I made the traffic situation worse, I still think it was the right decision.
Deutschländer Würstchen is doing kind of okayish meanwhile, so no need to worry about that...

But what are two garbage trucks doing driving up Lover's Lane??? (Nice touch by the way!) :D
2015-07-31_00009.jpg

So, that's the end of my turn. I will post the savegame, as soon as i found out how.

Well, I didn't find out how. Can anyone explain it to me (I want to use the steam workshop). I saved my game in the steam cloud but I can't find out how to publish it.
Ah! As this groups resident Steam Workshop expert, I'll give you a step by step guide: (Warning, this is all from my memory, I don't have access to the computer it is installed on currently.)

1:Save the game.
2:Go to the main menu
3:Go to the menu marked something like content? Maybe something manager? Or something. I'll look up a screenshot of the menu to confirm. CONTENT MANAGER
4:Find the save.
5:There is a button marked something like share.
6:Give it a title not Heavenly Falls.
7:publish.
8:It will open up a tab in the overlay once published, and copy the link and post here.

One question though, even though I am a Vexillophile (I think that is the right term), I don't recognise the flag in your avatar?

@Calad, hope you don't mind but we introduced a new member, and they went before you. It is now back to being your turn.
