Could anyone please explain the exact mechanics behind the successions, specifically egyptian and seniority agnatic.

And also how the heck does Egyptian works. I have a woman 100% in pop, loyalty and prominence and she is 3rd!!! in the line? She is a daughter of the dictator, and the first two are a 3 year old and a 8 year old girls who are his nieces. Neither one of them is above 20% in either pop or prominence.

Same for seniority, eldest brother is 2nd in line, 93% pop, 73% prominence. But the first in line is a younger! brother with lesser stats.

A...wth is wrong with Egyptian succession. I check ministers and tech guys before putting them to make sure they support the woman with 100% stats, and as soon as I appoint them they switch their support to the toddlers?

B. I keep throwing victories for the 100% woman and some months she is first, some she drops to dead last. Weird thing is the usual first two candidates are toddlers who aren't even the dictators children...

C. Yes I've also checked friendships, as I mentioned in A. I put friends of the 100% stat woman in office and as soon as that happens those "friends" turn their support.

I'm provindg pictures, anybody, could anybody please shed some sense into the succession systems.

This is the heir... I mean seriously wtf??!! How is she the heir over all the other children that are no longer children, they are full grown men and woman with more skills and connections that she has. Even her parents don't have connected friends...

This is the one EVERY SINGLE COUNCILOR, the dictator, and his consort agree with.

In case you do not believe the councilors are a single voice here is the proof.

Forgot to take a picture but bit stressed over this issue of after the dictator died a few months later.

The 2 year old brat with no connections, with parents who have not achieved any of their goals nor have important friends becomes the new head of state???!!!

Can anyone please shed some light into this.

Popularity? I don't think so
Prominence, obviously not
Connections?... every councilor wants her to be the leader, I been training her for the role!, the governors except 1 agree. Most of the admirals and generals say the same, though I doubt the last 3 matter.

And even after the dictator dies, nobody goes to civil war?, at least then I could save, reload the game and choose the rebels to be on her side.

Monarchies having the edge of ministers over republics is fine... but again can anyone shed some light into their successions?

The ONLY one that has any logic is the normal agnatic succession. Eldest male takes over. Every other one is ruled by rules that I do not know nor I can gather. Popular heirs rise and fall, idiots become legal heirs and then drop again.

I can't believe in a monarchy or in a dictatorship the feature to simply appoint your heir is not even found.
