Ok, So my heir has just succeeded the Throne of Castile... is this a bad thing for Scotland? or Upon the death of my Heir will the two kingdoms become one under the same house (Dunkeld) ?
Yes, although some things can happen later that may prevent or change this. If your son stays listed as the heir to Scotland then he will just inherit it from you when you die and you will play as him if he is of your dynasty.Ok, So my heir has just succeeded the Throne of Castile... is this a bad thing for Scotland? or Upon the death of my Heir will the two kingdoms become one under the same house (Dunkeld) ?
Unfortunately there is not, although there are various tactics you can employ to try to die such as encouraging someone to assassinate you or always trying to lead troops.also is there no way to abdicate the throne to allow your son to take over ? (say you want early retirement...)

... but that makes no difference because you can just switch the primary title back to Scotland right away if it really bothers you.It shouldn't be a problem. He'll still inherit Scotland from you, but Castille will be his primary title.

If you have enough gold, one way is to dismiss your spymaster and assign someone absolutely terrible, then find someone with very high intrigue and a lot of gold and try to assassinate him/her. You will probably fail and be discovered, which should give the AI a choice of whether to retaliate with their spymaster. Quite often they do, and without a decent spymaster, you're quite likely to die.And how would one go about encouraging someone to assassinate them? Just curious. I suppose you could try and make everyone hate you, but angering all your vassals doesn't seem very wise. Is there some other way to get other characters to want to kill you?
This must be a new thing since the 1.07 patch, I guess associated with the depressed trait. I wasn't even aware this existed!
