Hi,

There's something wrong here as fleets are going to see with too much Supplies and Fuel. This probably amplifies the basic problem that he fleet returns to port based on the level of Supplies rather than the level of Fuel. On top of it, there are more variations on Supply usage than Fuel usage. So if you just move with no combat you run out of Fuel relatively faster. On the to do list.

Hi,

The reason fleets get too much Supplies and Fuel is that while the Division file allows a specified amount and the Misc file also has a value the engine seems to ignore these values when an event/tech command changes supply/fuel consumption. At that point it adds a 30 day supply to the on board limit for the respective change. Since this is way more than our ships are supposed to have it starts adding up. Not sure how to fix this as this command gets used quite a bit.

Busy for ~this week, but if you got a few spare minutes, mayhap see whether using max_[supply/oil]_stock as a unit value in the same command type works.
- Not a good solution but good enough for a stopgap measure.

addendum:

Reading misc.txt:
# _EV_SUPPLIES_STOCK_NAVAL_, amount of stock stored in each divison - of combat usage
it would seem possible to set this value to 0 (as it is supposed to base on consumption) and define the stocks exclusively via the division files.
... Not sure whether truly a good idea even if it works, but probably worth a try.

Hi,

I've tried a lot of combinations and nothing seems to work at a level I understand. There is always more Supplies and Fuel than are defined. Changing that Misc entry seems to do nothing. And using the Stock entry in a command errors. It's a bit frustrating. Though OTOH there now seems to be a way to get a bit more effect out of the Replenishment techs. since the added Supplies/Fuel seems to be more on a per day basis than the baseline amounts.
