I meant unique as having "is_unique = yes" in the minor title code, your symbasileus can additionally receive the despot, sebastokrator, caesar and kouropalates (unique) titles.
Oh, my mistake, I'll get that fixed.

Supporting thisI would suggest to make an event that gives the "born in the purple" trait to sons of co-emperors, Basil II called himself "born in the purple" and he was born during the reign of his grandfather, when his father was co-emperor.
As for 867, i'm still more inclined to move the date forward than to fit Michael into our setup. But that's for another day, as i said earlier, i have a busy real life schedule atm

I think HIP conflicts.Oddly enough, launching this submod with my mod list crashes the game...
My current mod list:
! Bigger Lists
Artifact Search
HIP
In Heavens Graphics Overhaul
In Heavens Graphics Overhaul Font
Interface: Century Gothic
Larger Artifacts Menu
MTA - Vice and Virtue
No Interreligious Defensive Pacts
Rich Childhood
The Orders of Chivalry
The Sufi Schools
Zeto e Basilisses
The game can launch when I do not activate this submod and HIP at the same time... Any ideas?
What combinations of HIP pack did you use? I tried switching off some of the mods one by one and the two giving me crashes are sadly HIP and ZEB :/Hmmm, I can't see any obvious issues, but without knowing which mods change which specific files, it's hard to tell for certain. I'd check to see if any of these mods change any of the same files as mine. If you find any that do, upload the files here and I'll see if I can knock out a merged version for you.

Thanks anyway.
This in not the way I'd recommend using EMF beta. This way you ignore all the internal compatches there are between the HIP modules. For the record I'm running all HIP modules along with the EMF Beta...

On this regard, how does the AI handle the distribution of this title? Does it try to distribute them all? Does it favour close family members? I'm not really familiar with how it handles minor titles in general, to be honest.also changed up the rules a bit for who can be made symbasileus

I'm not sure if you're familiar with it, but another mod that introduced co-emperors (actually, co-emperor, there can be only one in that mod) use targeted decisions to make the AI unlikely to appoint anyone but their heir. Maybe it could be used as inspiration for something similar?Me neither, but I've tried to limit the conditions for the AI as much as possible to prevent them screwing themselves over by handing out all the emperorships. When I've played, though, the AI doesn't seem to make much use of it anyway, maybe it somehow realises the implications of giving some random a claim on their empire.
@Lysistrata Hey so I absolutely love your mod, but I think I found a minor bug -- when my sons go to join the Varangian Guard (as a Cumbric Celtic ruler, which by the way I love) they don't seem to actually go the court of the Varangian Captain. When I click their character portrait it goes to Constantinople, but they never seem to come back and get the Varangian trait and I can still assign them tasks and jobs.
I've been fixing this by using the console to give the Varangian trait to people it happens to, for RP reasons -- is this normal, though? How would I fix it?
