idk they look like someone put the image into photoshop and stretched one side of it.. just subjective, might just be very wrong
Its just your perspective/preferences, there is no perfect way to project a sphere (planet Earth) onto a flat map. My map is not a matter of my personal preference in terms of the topographical projections. With the exception of the Netherlands and Aral Sea (of which I used some artistic license to guess what the regions may have looked like 1200 years ago) my map is really just a in game projection of satellite images and topographical height data. So, even the mountains heights are about as accurate as one can get with the game engine. Its not perfect, but the majority of it isnt really a matter of my personal interpretations; it just is what it is.
