Good afternoon! I've been back from vacation for a little over a week now. I've spent the majority of my time since then working on something special for a certain nation in Central Europe, and I'll go into more detail about that at a later date. The purpose of this post is to quickly say that we've been listening to your feedback on the latest dev diary about superregions (or Subcontinents as they're called in-game) and trade companies.

We liked the idea of reworking the superregion setup to better support linking superregions to where it is possible to establish trade companies.

We don't have a superregion/subcontinents mapmode yet - we may well get one before release but no promises - so here's a beautiful rendition of the new superregion setup lovingly created in MS Paint:

As said in the devdiary-thread; It's weird that a nation can have a trade company so close to its capital.
Examples: Brandenburg with TC in Poland, Austria with TC in Hungary or Bengal in Burma.

Suggestion; Add a restriction to TC that it can't be established in a neighbouring region.

Reverted putting Tibet in China, turns out I used the China superregion for some things back in Manchu patch and Tibet doesn't make sense in that context.

Reactions:
Can I, as Portugal or Castile/Spain, put the 4 north African provinces that are part of the Sevilla trade node into a trade company that helps me collect income in my home trade mode?

This same question is applicable for many trade nodes that may cross super-regions.

And how about trade nodes that overlap these superregion borders?

Still works to make TC's in that node but not within your super region :) We tested it before going over these changes.

Yes I'm a bit agree with you but in the end trade companies were made to exploit regions that does not belong to the "motherland".

Teutonic Order cannot have a TC in Poland, but Brandenburg can. Makes sense. :p

As has been said before: change this rule into "can create TC in province, if province is not part of the home-superregion or a neighbouring superregion".

Or drop the superregion idea and go for region: "can create TC in province, if province is not part of the home-region or a neighbouring region".

I guess the rule that TC cannot have a land-connection to capital still applies?
