Stuttering.

So I have a stuttering/lag problem when I play the game on my PC. It's worse if I try to scroll across the map or put my speed on anything higher than 2. It occurs straight away from starting a fresh game.

I've tried:

• Reinstalling
• Defragging
• Reinstalling graphics driver

This has happened ever since you've had the game?

Does it happen in EU4 also?

Please post your Documents/CK2/settings.txt. From your Documents/Paradox/CK2/logs/ directory, post system.log . What version # and checksum do you see a/ in the launcher and b/ in the main game menu?

2.3.2 MMUR in game and launcher. The problem seems to be in EUIV as well yes and I haven't always had the problem though I can't think of when or what changed to trigger it. I've also attached system info gathered using piriform speccy incase it's of any use.

Can you try running the games without apps like Skype, Spotify, Raptr, any anything else active please?

Can you try putting the sound through your PC's speakers, rather than the TV?

I hope those help, because I don't see anything else to look at!

That hasn't worked either. Is there a support ticket function somewhere or just this forum?

There is (paradox.zendesk.com), but you get me there too. Here is better because at least there's the possibility of others helping too.

What video settings do you have in your Catalyst Control Centre? I'm particularly thinking of Vsync and anti-aliasing, but anything there really, as this sounds like a video issue.

Also, given you have Raptr, have you tried RadeonPro?


Lastly, let's see if these changes in settings.txt make any difference:

refreshRate=60
fullScreen=no

master_volume=0 (this disables all sound, as a test)

draw_trees=no

draw_citysprawl=no

I have "use application settings" in CCC.

I've had a look at RadeonPro but I don't really have the knowledge to use it I think.

The settings changes have made no difference.

Given that you get it in EU4 too, I wonder if we have a more general problem with Clausewitz and high-end machines. See these threads
