I used to play this game a lot, then I stopped and have come back, and my first game in the Ferry Scenario... and I want to build a path, I can see pathways in the existing city... but I cannot for the life of me find how I can build more.

Help!

They are in the one with the shovel.

Paths used to be in the "decoration" menu, which used to be the trees, and is now parks and plazas.
Patch 1.4.0-f3 changed it to the "landscape" menu.

*Sigh* thanks Fox_NS_CAN, found them now, never understood why there were not with the roads section, but now to find paths filed under a section that includes disasters and terraforming it seems even more odd.

Agreed, seems odd, suppose they didn't include them with roads because they can't have zoning around them. Although I do question whether you should be able to have limited zoning around pedestrian paths. Maybe could combine them with a car park.

Hmmm, don't think that would be the reason, otherwise Highways wouldn't be there either.

I do wish we could have combined bike and pedestrian paths, even at double the width, this would save a lot of mucking around.

I built a nice network of footpaths to short-circuit the one-way systems, flyovers and blocks of my city, and was amazed how far the Cims were prepared to walk - not lazy at all ! It was kind of romantic in a way seeing them able down a lit, wooded path at night ot the local park.

After buying "After Dark" DLC, I converted all these to cycle paths and added bike lanes to all the roads i could. The Cims go even further, but these paths are now busy racetracks, no more pleasant evening strolls.

cyclists use pedestrian paths too, so the cycle paths are a little pointless.
