I used to play this game a lot, then I stopped and have come back, and my first game in the Ferry Scenario... and I want to build a path, I can see pathways in the existing city... but I cannot for the life of me find how I can build more.
*Sigh* thanks Fox_NS_CAN, found them now, never understood why there were not with the roads section, but now to find paths filed under a section that includes disasters and terraforming it seems even more odd.

Agreed, seems odd, suppose they didn't include them with roads because they can't have zoning around them. Although I do question whether you should be able to have limited zoning around pedestrian paths. Maybe could combine them with a car park.

I do wish we could have combined bike and pedestrian paths, even at double the width, this would save a lot of mucking around.
I built a nice network of footpaths to short-circuit the one-way systems, flyovers and blocks of my city, and was amazed how far the Cims were prepared to walk - not lazy at all ! It was kind of romantic in a way seeing them able down a lit, wooded path at night ot the local park.
After buying "After Dark" DLC, I converted all these to cycle paths and added bike lanes to all the roads i could. The Cims go even further, but these paths are now busy racetracks, no more pleasant evening strolls.
