Stupid losing conditions

The whole point of the game is playing a landed ruler, if you lose all your land then yeah of course the game ends. Nobody cared about overthrown counts cause they were not important. Asking to play as a courtier is just generally bad, you would have literally nothing to do and have to hope one of the ais presses your claim etc, this would add a big strain on the engine if all courtiers became playable.
You game overed because you lost all your land, not cause you died and didn't continue to play on. This makes perfect sense and you seem to just be getting worked up over the fact you game ended with you losing.
