Playing a Stony Road game as Italy and Gemany DOW'ed Poland as usual.
Then all of a sudden a rush of South American countries either joined the axis or the allies creating a battle for South America.
Then directly after that the Soviets start the Finnish Winter War but to my surprise Finland joines the axis as soon as it happens pitting us in a war again both the allies and the comintern in late 39.
As you would guess Germany did not have enough divisions yet to sustain a war on two fronts and were soundly beaten. Now it's early 1941 and I have most of the world at war with me (our South American axis partners were crushed by the allies and the US who surprisingly joined mid 1940).
I am yet to be able to convince Japan to join the struggle but things are not looking good for me, my fleet has been desimated by constant UK fleet stacks, I have no air power to speak of and my industry is slowly on the decline because of a lack of resources. All I have managed to do is liberate my former ally Greece from the USSR and am also holding part of France and Yuogolslavia. I have lost all my medditeranian islands and africa because my supply convoy numbers have diminished by the bloody UK. Luckily I foresore the early decline of germany and have level 4 forts in all north italy border provinces and all 4 coastal forts in all beachs. It is holding.....for now.
And this is my first ever game on the hard/furious level.
