Don't forget alien invasions!

Seriously though, I agree that it will start with the sprites and music packs like always. However, I would like to see something akin to the Create-a-Ruler like they have in CK2 but based on your kingdom. Go for some mind boggling crazy mixtures, or, create that nation YOU always wanted to play. Something like that would be cool.

This, I would pay for this type of feature in a heartbeat. No question in my mind this type of DLC has to be released at some point, especially after releasing the Create a Ruler DLC in CK2

I predict the first DLC for EUIV will be the cat DLC. It will add an on-screen cat to the game, when you're feeling particularly maniacal, you can pet it. You can watch it frolic all over the game map.

Also, if you don't feed it enough it dies. The game keeps track of your feeding schedule even when you don't play.

Because of this innovative new feature, Paradox will require your game to be online all the time, and prevent user mods (as they could mess up the cat animations).

Can you feed your cat with the blood of an Englishman?

My main idea for quality DLC is an expansion because I much prefer that over DLCs.
Any reason why? When I compare CK2's 'DLCs' to EU3's 'expansions' all I see is pro's for the DLCs. People who don't buy the expansion don't lose all support for their game. You can pick and choose exactly what features you want rather than a $20-30 bundle that has stuff you don't care about. The multilayer community isn't fragmented. We get a bunch of free features every time a DLC is released. IMO, there is no benefit to the old full expansion model.

You don't need to feed the cat. He will find food himself if you will not feed him. Like mouses, bugs, small birds, and kiwi.

The first part, I would pay 10€ for such a DLC! :D

DLC is not very good for historical - based strategy game like eu, unless it is some ahistorical scenario. Because it is better to make expansion, as it would be annoying you needing to dl all the DLC, to make game playable.

Is there really any difference on loading multiple DLC or one expansion?

IMO, no.

+1 post of the year. I shall name this cat Podcat! It should also do little things like inform you whenever the Paradox Livestream is up so you don't miss anything!

Yes, but you need to have the collector's edition.

You don't need to feed the cat. He will find food himself if you will not feed him. Like mouses, bugs, small birds, and kiwi.
Yes, but if you're not carefuly he might eat one of your provinces. Greece doesn't look so great without the Peloponnese

Yes, but you will have to pay a modest monthly subscription fee. You also get 1 year free if you buy the EU IV "Season pass".

In addition the Cat will occasionally helpfully interrupt your game to give you various tips about playing the game. For instance "Hey, did you know you can put Navies on patrol routes, neat huh?"

Well it is not realy keeping to facts. We all know that dinosaurs died from getting hitted by comet. This is why getting hit by comet should just destroy humanity - or at least part of it. And spawn mutants.
That's nonsense, everyone knows the dinosaurs hitched a ride on a comet, and they'll come back when it circles around to the earth again.
