Stuck on SeaLion

As Germany, I invaded and conquered almost all of Britain. Except for one small island territory in the extreme north (not the base, the one to the left of the naval/air base). Sometimes the game lets me attack it, but often it does not even let me attack. Sometimes the attack will be going fine, and then all of a sudden, it breaks off the attack and I get the defeat message.

Is there a bug with this territory or am I missing something?

To cross into the island, you must control the sea between you and it. If they have subs, or any fleet in the sea, it'll stop your advance - winning or losing.

I assume you're talking about inverness. Like the above poster said, it's most likely there is an enemy fleet you havent detected in the straits between the mainland and the island. Move a fleet into that sea zone to clear out the interdicting enemy naval forces; then you should be able to just march across.

It's the Hebrides Islands, more accurately the Stornoway province.
