Stuck in Tunon's Court

I have been playing Tyranny, everything has been going on great and then...

I am doing the anarchy path, acquired two artifacts for Bleden Mark (Dauntless and Azure Shield), now I got the Magebane Helmet and go to see him. He tells me Tunon orders me to come, I agree, he says he will escort me to Bastard City.

I get the loading screen...

And we're in Tunon Court! Except... my party is not there. There are no characters of mine anywhere on the screen, though when I hover over the portraits it points to them being slightly behind the three Fatebinders (in the gag between them and Tunon). But I can't see my party, can't move, can't speak to Tunon, nothing happens.

I can save at this moment and if I load it, the same thing happens. I loaded my save before speakign to Bleden Mark in Ashweald and the same thing happens. I guess I can refuse his offer and fight with him, maybe that would progress the game... but I'd prefer to go to the Court.

I haven't seen such a bug reported here before and I would be very, very grateful if someone could assist.

Hello @Denadareth,

I am very sorry this issue is happening to you. Do you have a save from before turning in the Mage Bane helm to Bleden Mark? I believe that is where things started to go wrong.

If you have any saves that you can attach here, we would like to investigate this further to see how it is possible.

You can usually find your save files at: C:\Users\%username%\Saved Games\Tyranny

Ideally, a save before meeting Bleden Mark, 1 from the meeting with Bleden Mark, and 1 from the court would be most helpful in us trying to find and fix this.

Was there anything else odd about your playthrough? Had you used any console commands or had any other issues come up before this one?

Hi,

Thank you so much for such a quick response.
I am attaching three saves - the oldest one is from Leithan's crossing, just after getting the Helm from Eldian. Then there is one in Ashweald, just before meeting Bleden Mark. The last one is from Tunon's Court, just when you load saves from it, it is also broken but each time different (either black screen or a pause that can't be unpaused). If you talk to Bleden and if you agree to go with him, you will see the bug that I have.

There was nothing wrong with my playthrough, very, very bug free. I haven't used any console commands.

Hello @Denadareth,

Thank you for the saves and details! I have been able to find out what is wrong in your save file (bug on our end, you didn't do anything wrong) and I've created a save file from yours that should be free of the bug (see attached).

This is a replacement for your save just before speaking to Bleden Mark with all the artifacts. He shouldn't be telling you that you failed to respond to Tunon... I'm rather surprised that bit of dialog is accessible at all! One thing that might help is if I knew when you started the 'anarchist' path? Did you betray your faction at the end of act 1 in ascension hall? or did you betray them a bit later in the game?

Please try out that save and make sure it works for you

Thank you so much for such a quick reply! I am writing from work right now, will check the file as soon as I am home.
I was surprised about him telling me that I have ignored my summons (as I didn't get any missives) but I thought that it may be just part of the plot, where Tunon is summoning me so rapidly that I didn't even hear it via conventional means, only from Bleden Mark

I started the "anarchy" path by betraying my faction (Scarlet Chorus) at the end of Act I. I was really aiming at the Rebel path, but I didn't help them enough never mind, it made for great Role Playing experience. I must say I had great fun playing someone who tries to be as "good" as the circumstances allow him and yet still be hated by basically all the factions and by being forced to fight them, be brought deeper and deeper into the "dark side".

A truly great game and I really hope the save game works. I will let you know as soon as I have checked.
