Stuck at loading - Boreal map

I was playing normally with no issues until I noticed I could not bulldoze a trash/junk empty building. Restarted the game and the issue started.

the game is being saved on the cloud, can't find it locally, would it be available if saved on cloud?

Using the loading mod I got this error:

EndDeserialize(BuildingManager) tag mismatch: SimulationManager [System.Exception]

That looks like that NewSave file is bad in some way. Do you get this if you start a new test city?

Does it matter if the same is local or cloud? We have one other report here of save corruption only happening in the cloud.

I already did a repair but no files seemed to be damaged. I got that error message after starting a new game and trying to load the corrupted one. I can try a new game or loading a previous one saving in the cloud, would it be a good test?

A Steam Verify (which is what i assume you mean by a repair) cannot fix a save game file, only game files that Steam has installed.

If you could start a new game and save it both locally then with a different name to the cloud. then see if either or both are broken and won't load.

Just did this test, new game loading from the cloud got stuck in loading, the new game saved locally gave no error and loaded perfectly

I was hoping the repair would fix any game corrupted file like the newgame "template"

The corrupted saves are lost definitely or is there a chance to recover it?

Uncorrupting a computer file of any sort is like unscrambling an egg!

Please try a **clean** reinstall of Steam and game:

- Remove the game from Steam (uninstall)
- exit the Steam app completely
- Manually delete all these files and folders, if still there:

...\Steam\steamapps\common\Cities_Skylines\
...\Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\255710\
...\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines
(first move the /saves/ folder elsewhere to keep your save games)
(To see the AppData folder you'll need to enable View Hidden Items in File Explorer)

- delete everything in the Steam folder EXCEPT steam.exe and the SteamApps folder
- run steam.exe to rebuild all that

- Install the game again and see if it runs now.
