Introduction: I was thinking how to revive HoI2/DD attractiveness for me. Events are too deterministic, modding is too demanding (I'm lazy, you know) and what I lacked in most games I participated in was soul. (Almost) every player (including myslef) ran his country as if it was just militaristic automat, being there for just one purpose - war. Main goal is to reduce consumer goods IC allocation to minimum so one can build more weapons/supplies, ministers are chosen for their "effects", policies are altered to get more IC/faster production/more manpower, etc. You conserve manpower just because you want have more to build/reinforce new units, not because it represents people and you care for their lives. What is missing is feedback, feedback from people of country you lead. Feedback other than dissent which is easily washed aways after 2 months of intensive CG production, without risk of rising again despite you cut CG production to minimum once it hits 0. I'll outline my idea here. It is not complete and needs some thoughts, but it can lead to something interesting. It cannot work without your participation as it is based on wide participation of players. If there is not enough people to take part in this game, it wont work even if seven are very determined to do it themselves. But lets cut the bullshit :)

Idea in short: Multiplayer game (any scenario, but maybe 38 or 39 would be the best) with just 7 countries played by human players: China, Germany, Italy, Japan, Soviet Union, United Kingdom, United States of America. For each country, there will be bunch of citizens, each representing group of people within that country. Each citizen would be "played" by one person. Behaviour of citizens would be determined by both some random assignment and individual preference of person playing that role. Citizens would react to country leader's actions and situation that arises in the world. They could, for example, start revolution and remove leader and replace it with someone else. Leader would have to be really careful to meed demands and desires of his citizens while pursuing his own goals. Every citizen could become a leader, though it is possible for one to be just a citizen. Game would be aimed to entertain all participants and produce nice AAR reading.

Express your interest and share any ideas please. It will involve quite few of players if ever started, but it cannot start without them (YOU!). I need to know your interest before I set-up any forum or further develop this idea. I belive it has a potential of becoming real fun.

NOTE (plea) for MODERATORS: Please don't move/merge this thread with ones in General/AAR sections as it is intended to hit as many readers as it can. I don't want to miss those who browse just one of these forums. Thanks in advances for your understanding.
